He he. I couldn’t wait to do that to you guys. I stayed at home today, chilling, studying, sleeping, and promoting. Tomorrow, I have classes again at UCF. Whoo-hoo!
As ascertained by the very descriptive posting title, I messaged actor Mario López through MySpace. Most certainly his biggest claim to fame is playing the muscular but adorably dimpled high school jock, A.C. Slater on “Saved by the Bell.” (I confess to owning a T-shirt that reads “I ♥ Zack Morris.” Hey– it was a thrift store find! I found it by chance. Sorry, Mario. But “SBTB” was definitely a defining part of my generation!) He competed in the 2006-2007 season of “Dancing with the Stars,” in which he and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, placed second.
Currently, López hosts MTV’s reality show, “America’s Best Dance Crew,” and MTV’s “Top Pop Group.” He additionally hosts the entertainment news magazine show “Extra.”
With a charming presence and a likable personality, I think he would be a great spokesperson for our cause!
Finally, I want to get to a quick thank-you that is definitely in order. I want to thank Dawn Kirchner Wisocky for her kind words of encouragement today, and also for sharing the blog Web site with my pediatric urologist, Dr. Michael A. Keating. He has known me since I was ten, and I truly appreciate and am humbled by his moral support! Hopefully, this blog will be read by many people dealing with SB, including so many of the children he treats.
Well, I’m cutting it short today, assuming that I am NOT the only one who wants to watch the premiere episode of “GLEE!” tonight. (I am such a dork!)
Please keep sending me your comments and any questions if you have them! I will be updating with another posting to “My Personal History” very soon, as well as adding a page for Spina Bifida resources. Stay tuned!
