So, who would look cuter in a public service ad for spina bifida? Me or the dog?
Given my new penchant for going to bed late and waking up groggy, it’s a wonder that I got up before ten today! So, I’ve already done my research (more like, Mom gave a suggestion and I quickly sent an E-mail!) and I zeroed in on Target today (pun intended!). One of the few stores that I will actually tolerate shopping at (I am not your typical girl– I can’t spend an entire afternoon at the mall!), Target is involved with initiatives that help preserve the environment. They are also partnered with several education and social services programs, such as Read Across America, Kids in Need, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the United Negro College Fund, the American Red Cross, United Way, Feeding America, and The Salvation Army.
Target also has its own nonprofit causes, such as Target House, which provides families with critically ill children with a safe, comfortable place to stay while their children are in the hospital.
In truth, I am beginning to get hungry! Mom should be home soon, as she went to work today. So, I’m going to see if we can go have late lunch/early dinner somewhere.
Have a Blessed Friday!
Laurita
P.S. Seriously– me or the dog?

Today I was actually THANKED for NOT using a plastic bag for my 2 items. It was at our local grocery store, Meijers. They do a lot of charitable work like target… check ‘em out.
Can you make 1 ear go down like that? Then totally you! Who am I kidding totally you no matter what!
Have a good weekend.
LOL thanks! I’ll get to work on the ear thing.
Hey what about getting Ellen Degeneres? She is involved with a lot of causes and her famous DUNK TANK to raise money for causes. or go on to promote your cause… I’d join ya.
Hey Nick…you may may want to refer to “Day 5″ on my blog. That’ll be YOUR assignment for the weekend. Have fun!

I do need to catch up on your earlier blogs…. Soo… um… can I claim “open mouth insert foot disease”? ha ha ha… I’d be glad to look into it. I never expected homework after college!
I do see emails as old fashion as well… they just aren’t as effective as they have been in the past. It’s back to ‘who you know’ I guess.
