OCTOBER IS SPINA BIFIDA AWARENESS MONTH.
It had to happen. Honestly, I think everyone knew it would happen to me at some point. BURNOUT. I’ve been so overwhelmed by the stress of college-related work and my grandmother’s illness, plus the blog, of course, that everything has just seemed to come crashing down on top of me at full speed! But today, I stopped, and I thought: “You know what? If I don’t get absolutely everything done exactly when I’m supposed to, it won’t be the end of the world.” And it certainly won’t be the end of me!

"The View" co-host Behar seems to see things from everyone's perspective.
So, without further ado (I say that a lot!), here’s the scoop on CNN’s Joy Behar. Until recently, she was frequently invited to sub for Larry King as host of “Larry King Live.” As you probably all know, that’s not a gig to be taken lightly! Recently, she got her own prime-time show on HLN (Headline News). She is also a stage actress and a comedian.
As a do-gooder, Ms. Behar has played celebrity poker for charity, and was a 2001 recipient of the Safe Horizon Champion Award for her work benefiting victims of domestic violence. Also, in 2000, she received the New York City Public Advocate’s Special Advocate Award for the friendship and compassion she has demonstrated toward the gay community. Truly, this fearless woman has heart!
But, it’s 1:30 in the morning, and I officially have no brain cells left to offer (why would you ask?). I look forward to attempting to update early tomorrow (ummm…today?), as soon as I get some sleep and recover from a seemingly-endless week!
So, please come back for more blog later on! Lots to share, I’m sure.
Bonne nuit (good night in French!),
Laurita ♥
